June 5th, the group got to spend their last day at the Disneyland Resort, which is just an incredible place. June 6th the group traveled to San Diego and visited Sea World, always a treat! June 4th they performed at Universal Studios, just three days after Universal Studios had experienced a devastating fire that took out a section of their back lot area. The group had the opportunity of seeing the damage caused by the fire first hand. But, Universal Studio personnel greeted the group with vigor, claiming the show must go on, and it did. The group of 114, including 57 dancers from the Gunnison Valley, Manti, Salina, Sterling, Delta & Spanish Fork had the opportunity to dance at Disneyland’s California Adventure Park and at Universal Studios Theme Park. The dancer’s performances were excellent, they wowed their audiences with their exceptional talents. Their show entitled “Dance Mania,” included a variety of music and all styles of dance including jazz, ballet, clogging, ballroom, stomping, hip hop, modern dance and even some tumbling. The dancers conducted themselves very professionally, on and off the stage, our valley can be very proud of them! The group left on June 1st and traveled, by chartered bus, to Southern California. They stayed in the beautiful Newport Beach Marriott Hotel. June 2nd they performed at Disneyland and then spent the rest of the day enjoying the park. June 3rd was also spent Do Your Best |
