Show funeral held at provo on sun for andy mitchell Q provo post andrew mitchell a well known and highly respected citizen of pro vo died at his home in the I 1 ward yesterday morning following a week s illness of pneumonia an dy as he was familiarly known to bis his many friends here was born in glasgow scotland on march 16 1882 when a child he came to utah with his parents and settled in provo later moving to eureka for twenty three years he was employed as a printer in the different shops of provo the past ten bears ears having been spent in the establishment of J W dangerfield mr mitchell is survived by his widow formerly mabel gardner of salem four children mabel lona iona don and norma his mother who re sides in eureka and the following brothers and sisters william james and wilford mitchell and mrs veri hanson all of eureka mrs storrs of butte montana and mrs sarah houtz of leadore idaho the funeral services were in the provo second ward meeting house on sunday in the passing of mr mitchell provo loses a christian character whose life was devoted to his family and to those things which contribute to the best of our citizenship his associates in the printing fraternity are deeply grieved to learn of his untimely death and they join his many friends in extending to his be loved family their sincere sympathy in their hour of sorrow |
