The Fidelia Club was entertained on Friday evening of last week by Mrs. George Tineman. The time was spent in playing cards after which the hostess served her guests with a splendid luncheon. Adams returned early in the week after a trip to Salt Lake City, where she attended the M. I. A. convention. Mr. and Mrs. Mark McChrystal are taking a week's vacation, spending the time at the Hermitage in Ogden Canyon. Oasis Beach, near Chief Cons, mine, is again open to swimmers. It is the popular spot during the hot days of summer. The Eureka baseball team played a game with the Bantaquln bunch at the latter place yesterday afternoon, and came out victorious by the score of 4 to 6. Miss Lafawn Hood, who is visiting at Salt Lake City with her grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Arrlgona, has been quite ill but is now reported recovering nicely. P. C. Hood returned on Sunday after spending a few days at Salt Lake City, where he visited with relatives and also attended the M. I. A. convention. Kenneth Doyle left on Sunday morning for American Fork where he will spend the summer with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Chlpman. Dr. George C., Hensel, son of Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Hensel of Eureka, has finished his medical course at the University of California and is te now doing work in the school's hospital at San Francisco. Mrs. Dot Tomlinson, Mrs. Lou Barrett, Rudolph JFarrell and Lee Haywood returned' on Sunday evening after a camping trip at Castilla Springs. The tip was made In Mrs. Tomlinson's car. Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Alim of Balt Lake City, and Mrs. A. R. M. Beck and son, Hyrum, of Spanish Fork, were in Eureka on Sunday, being guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Beck. The Girls Friendly Club" of the Episcopalian Church enjoyed a picnic party on Tuesday of this week making a trip to the North Tlntlc cliffs where a most enjoyable day was spent The party was chapy, eroned by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Mrs. A.
