The Chordettes are excited to announce the theme and concert dates for the 2023 Christmas season. The Chordettes are a ladies choir made up of Ogden Valley residents. The choir was first organized in December 1981 and has become a Valley treasure to the delight of its audiences year after year. This year’s theme is “Ring Those Christmas Bells.” Save the dates for this year’s concerts: Sunday, December 10 and Monday, December 11. You won’t want to miss them! The Chordettes are excited to have a bell choir join them this year. The bell choir is also comprised of Ogden Valley residents, directed by Huntsville resident Becky Adams. Many concert goers have stated that the Chordettes’ annual performance is their favorite holiday activity. The concerts are held each year at Eden’s Hearthside Reception Center. Yoga Instructor Offers Friday Morning Classes in Eden Yoga specialist and instructor Marijke Neerings is now teaching a Yin/Yang yoga class on Friday’s from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. at Valley Dance Studio (located at High Altitude Kids, 4786 E. 2600 N. in Eden). Each class begins with a more active (Yang) style of yoga, which focuses on strengthening muscles. It then transitions into the passive (Yin) style where participants relax the muscles and work into the deeper layers of the body, the connective tissue. Yin postures are mainly seated and are held for several minutes. Yin yoga provides deep relaxation, energizing the organs and the merid- ians (energy pathways in the body). Please bring your own mat and any yoga props that you might have and like to use. Also, a sweater to keep yourself warm during the Yin part of the class. The cost is $80 for a ten-class pass, $45 for a five-class pass, or $10 for each drop-in session, which can be purchased before the class starts. All levels are welcome.
