Sunnyfield Meats is celebrating their two-year anniversary accompanied by a monthlong sale! The celebration kicks off August 4 with live music and pulled pork sandwiches from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the farm! Come join us for a fun party and grab all the best deals before they are gone! Sunnyfield Meats is the valley’s local custom butcher shop located on the iconic Sunnyfield Farm in the heart of Eden, 2103 N. 5500 E. just west of Eden Park. With a variety of wonderful local products as well as all your meat needs, Sunnyfield Meats is here for you! If you like all things meat then this is your place! With products like amazing steaks, seasoned patties, fresh bratwurst, bacon stuffers, summer sausage, and breakfast sausage, we have something for everyone to try. We carry local beef from farmers and ranchers that work hard to care for their animals well and produce a great finished product. All of our local beef is dry aged for the best tasting beef for our customers. We stock local grass-raised beef that we sell by the cut. Bulk is also an option—a quarter, half, or whole beef may be purchased. This is all grown here in Northern Utah, grain fed, and grass fed available. If you’re interested in local raw dairy products, we also carry some of these as well. MilkBarn Creamery in Morgan produces wonderful products, and we stock their cheeses! We have several varieties available, including cheese curds. Sunnyfield also hosts their milk truck on Tuesdays from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. where you can purchase their raw milk and cream from them directly. If butter is more your thing, then we have that too! Mountain Born Creamery in Ogden makes butter from the cream of local dairies. We carry several different kinds of butter from plain salted to Cherry Rum! Local honey is also a must! Sunnyfield Farm and Miss Beehaven (Huntsville) are working together to bring the best local honey to the market and you better believe that we stock it. We have honey, bee pollen, honey comb, and wax available in the shop. So come get a nice sweet treat! If you need something to put your honey and butter on, you can find it here too. We have Shelley’s Sourdough Bread and her Lovely Farm Wheat loaf too. These are all made right here in the valley! We have a drop point from our friends at Fresh Simple Greens. They grow organic amazing greens all year round and they bring them to Sunnyfield for local pick-up. Sunnyfield Meats is also the only place to get products raised on Sunnyfield Farm! This includes dry-aged, pasture-raised highland beef, pasture-raised Navajo Churro lamb, Sunnyfield pork, pasture-raised organically fed turkey, free-range eggs, and organically grown pumpkins. Announcing Eden Coffee Cocoa & Juicery: Also Hosting Summer/Fall Markets Twenty-three-year-old Ogden Valley local Keylee Ball is thrilled to announce that she is going to be opening a new business in Eden. The business is going to be a co昀昀ee/juice shop named “Eden Co昀昀ee Cocoa and Juicery.” Eden Co昀昀ee will be serving organic, locally roasted, and high-quality co昀昀ee, delicious cocoas, quick bites, and coldpressed juices. The business is located at what was formerly the Century 21 building located is south of Mad Moose Cafe. Keylee is looking forward to serving quality products to members of the community as well as those who are just passing through. She is hoping to bring a sense of togetherness to our community by o昀昀ering a pleasant place for folks to gather and to be their best and most authentic selves. Due to all of the renovations needed in order to turn a former real estate office into a food establishment, there is currently not an exact opening date for this business, but it is assumed to be within a matter of months. Keep an eye out for local posters and signage that will be posted once the “Grand Opening” date has been determined. In the meantime, while trying to get the building ready for business, Keylee has decided to begin hosting markets on the property of her soon-to-be co昀昀ee shop. For the 2023 season, she is hosting them once a month, June through October. There are typically 15 to 30 vendors and live music at each market. Some of the vendors include products such as woodworking, flower bouquets, jewelry, leather crafting, arts and crafts, a local author, produce, bath and body products, sweet treats, and so much more. Keep an eye out for the purple signs placed near intersections around the valley. When these are up, that means the market is currently going on. Celebrate The Symphony Festival at Huntsville Park August 7 The Utah Symphony is coming to perform in Huntsville Park! Mountain Arts and Music is partnering with the Utah Symphony to offer workshops and fun activities before their concert on Monday, August 7. The free workshops start at 4:00 p.m. and will end at 6:30. They will be held in and around Huntsville Square. We ask that anyone who might want to participate in the Master Classes go to our website mountainartsandmusic.org to sign up for the master classes (so we can know how many will be participating). Here’s the Festival schedule: Associate Conductor of the Utah Symphony, Ben Manis. This interactive workshop allows you to experience how and what a conductor communicates to Utah Symphony musicians. This class will teach you to conduct di昀昀erent time signatures and dynamics while o昀昀ering a deeper understanding of the repertoire to be performed on the evenings concert. • 6:00- 6:45: “SYMPHONIC MOVEMENT” - Come move to symphonic music with Ogden Valley Dance expert Deja Mitchell on the lawn of Huntsville Park. • 6:30- 7:00: Musician Q&A - Get the inside “scoop” on the life of a professional musician. • 4:00 - 6:00: Symphony Instruments “PETTING ZOO” - Come and familiarize yourself with the instruments in the orchestra. SummerHays Music is hosting this fun activity for all ages. • 4:00-5:00: “Is it a FIDDLE or a VIOLIN?” Learn all about the many sounds and opportunities of this versatile and popular instrument. • 4:00-5:30: MASTER CLASSES - Several symphony musicians will conduct a master class that will involve technique, play-along opportunities, practice ideas, and imparted wisdom from professional musicians, as well as inspiring ideas on how to stay motivated to practice! There will be three Master Classes: Techniques for Beginning String Players, Technique for Advanced String players, and Techniques for wind instrument players.
