July 17–21: WSU’s Outdoor Program multi-sport adventure summer camp, 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at various outdoor recreation locations. July 29: OVLT will celebrate 25 years of preservation, protection & stewardship with an encore performance by IN A LANDSCAPE. Last year’s performance was hailed by concertgoers as “inspiring,” “spiritual,” & “the most significant & beautiful outdoor concert we have ever enjoyed.” Once again, classical pianist Hunter Noack will play a 9-foot Steinway grand piano on a flatbed trailer at the Monastery, OVLT’s iconic conservation easement project. El Doce, presented by Roosters Brewing Co., is Northern Utah’s premier 12-hour mountain bike event. This is an endurance mountain bike race with 15.2 miles of IMBA designed trails & roughly 1,900’ ascent per lap. 12-hour & 6-hour events available. Aug. 1: Come watch Ejnar Dyrr attempt to set three new World Records with the Guinness Book of World Records at Pineview Reservoir’s Middle Inlet. Bring your own chair. There’ll be a food truck & fun to be had for those cheering on the almost-95-year-old Ejnar. He will be attempting to break world records in hydro foil air chair, water skiing, and wakeboarding. Aug. 7: Utah Symphony at Huntsville Park! Yes, the Utah Symphony is coming to Huntsville Town for an evening concert. Mountain Arts & Music will be working with the symphony to offer some fun community educational events throughout the afternoon. Sept. 8: Community Foundation of Ogden Valley’s (CFOV) free community celebration, 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Sunnyfield Farm in Eden. Come take your chance in an oldfashioned cake walk or dunk your favorite valley celebrity in the dunk tank. Some activities will have a nominal charge, but many will be free. Oct. 6-8: The Northern Utah Trailfest (The Nut) hosted by Trails Foundation Northern Utah, the GOAL Foundation, and Weber County Parks and Recreation. The Northern Utah Trailfest is a fall celebration for all trail users! It’s a festival for outdoor enthusiasts & anyone who enjoys adventure & recreation. Runners, hikers, and mountain bikers—amateurs and seasoned athletes alike—will enjoy the challenge of the NUT Trail Run & Mountain Bike Race as they compete to complete the most course laps in 3, 6, or 9 hours. Camp for the weekend or spend the day at North Fork Park as trail users of all ages & abilities come together to enjoy tasty food, live music, and the Free Community Trailfest-ival at Cutler Flats Base Camp.
