Eleven candidates havefiledin Spanish Fork andfivehavefiledto run in Salem. Spanish Fork's primary election will take place Sept. 11, 2007. The top six vote-getters in the primary will advance to the general election to be held Nov. 6, 2007. Salem will not hold a primary election; Salem's general election will also be Nov. 6, 2007. Winners in three categories, men's women's and children's, were announced Saturday, July 2 1 . Men's: 1st Travis Oliphant, 2nd Shirl Brimhall, 3rd Kelly Woodbrey. Women's: 1st Kristy Meyring, 2nd Debbie Terry, 3rd Pearl Ann Seamons. Children's: 1st Amanda Oliphant, 2nd Lewis Stephens, 3rd Renee Thacker.
