A relaxing evening was enjoyed by all. Chad Bunn conducted the meeting, with VeraLynn Isamon leading the music. Paul Hawker led the pledge and Doug Lund gave the prayer. Chad discussed the July 24, 2007 rodeo concession stands. The local Kiwanis Club uses these stands as their fund raiser for the entire year. Historian Eugene Colledge reviewed the remaining Kiwanis activities for July, Aug. and Sept. UMTA Nebo Chapter . Our UMTA members enjoyed several educational presenters teaching us topics such as teaching composing, teaching adults, the anatomy of a lead sheet, accompanying, introducing the organ to students and the history of UMTA. We want to thank Tani Griffin, cur local president, Anna Kennington, president elect, and all of the other board and members who participated, in helping to make this past year a success. We need to let all music teachers who wish to become members of the UMTA/MTNA organization and current members of this organization know that membership fees are due this month (July). We invite any and all music teachers in the area to come join us and fee! the support and strength of our organization. Jolene Spendlove Allphin resides in Layton, Utah. The book evolved from an assignment to find a story for each trekker for a Youth Pioneer Trek. Others now use it as a workbook for similar treks.
