Cole, the hottest hitter in the state, then stepped into the box and laced a wicked RBI single down the left field line. On the throw home, Cole took second. Second baseman Ashley Chappie came up next and broke out of a mild slump with a line drive single that brought Cole home. After two, the Dons led 2-0. Now sit back and read the Hollywood story. In the fourth, Bramwell was summoned to the circle. Guess who she faced? None other than Cole who won the game the night before with a three run home run. A classic match-up between the best was set to unfold. The ' unfriendly Cole greeted her just like she said good bye with a home run blast. Her timely rip gave the Dons a 3-0 lead. The inning stayed alive, with a Chappie hit. She moved into scoring position on a.passed ball. She never had time to work on her tan as Ginny Stahle moved her to third with a sacrifice bunt. Lorin Thurgood then proved to be the right woman in the right spot as she crunched an RBI single. After four, the Dons were rolling with a 4-0 lead. However, don't write it down yet. There was still a northern rally to deal with. With two outs in the book, the T-Wolves had nine lives. Brinkerhoff, hitting from the left side for the first time, jacked an opposite field three run home run to put the Dons out front, 9-0. 325 north main Spanish Fork 7MIQBBS «* "The whole state tournament I was seeing the ball really well and hitting it hard every time," Brinkerhoff said. Spanish Fork continued their version of home run derby in the fourth. This time around it was Jordan Smith who went deep. His solo shot gave the Dons a 10-0 lead after four. Castleberry, who ' had coasted through four innings of work, ran into trouble in the fifth. Brinkerhoff was called to the hill and the bulldog slammed the door on any potential rally. The team dedicated' their championship season to him. He's still part of a team. that will never be forgotten.
