The family all attended. Also graduating on the weekend was the daughter of Duane and Cindy Jensen, Stacie. She graduated from BYU Idaho. Attending were many of here family and then there was a party at Duane's place. Trent and Jamie Nielson of Cedar City were in church here today and hav been here to fish at Otter Creek Lake. Lana King Ogden of Richfield have ben here visiting with her mother, Valeria King. Tina Tanner is to be thanked for picking up all along the highway from her house up to Rockin "R". This really helps the looks of our small town. Sandra Smith is here to work at th4e Rockin "R" Ranch for six months. She comes from the Salt Lake area. Dolph and Barbara Jolley and friends from Glenwood, Ut visited our LDS meetings on Sunday. The Ron Martin family came to visit and attend church on Sunday. The Granddad works in the St. George Temple wth Burns Blacks. Two visitors this Sunday were Richard Bunker of Las Vegas and David Sorenson of California and John's Valley. Two of our speakers in Sacrament meeting were Koy Willis and Heather Allen. Also speaking was Jennifer Pitts, a returned missionary from Marysvale. She served her mission in the Portland Oregan Mission. Dorothy Stratton, of Hurricane, is here at her home at the Little Meadows for the summer. At the awards night fir the FBL A in Piute, Kristi Gleave and Koy Willis placed and Kristi will be going to Nashville in June to compete. Graddaughter of Sally East, Chelsey Huntsman of Mt. Pleasant was inducted into the National High School Honor Society as a Junior. She is a greatgranddaughter of Betty and Van Wiley and Alfrend Huntsman's granddaughter. Jane and Bill Wiley traveled to Cedar City on Friday where Jane had surgery and ended up at Garfield Memorial Hospital. They came home aftprwards,and she is doing fine now. Bill and Wade Wiley and Clint Hardman took a fishing trip to Flaming Gorge, while Van Wiley and Max Ricketts took a trip to Otter Creek to try their luck. GARKANE ENERGY ANNOUNCES ANNUAL MEETING ELECTION RESULTS Results of Garkane Energy's Director elections were announced during each of the Cooperatives Annual Meeting Sessions held in Orderville, Utah, April 25,2006, and Loa, Utah, April 26,2006: Incumbent Directors Terry Griffiths, Orderville, and Randall Brown, Kanab, ran unopposed in their elections and will continue to serve as Board Members for District #5 and #7 respectively. In Garkane's District #2 election. Board President, Terry Griffiths announced George Blackbum, Fremont, as the winner. He will continue to serve as a Board Member after defeating Trent Hunt and Joe Reynolds. Featured speakers at the Meeting Sessions included Representative Mike Noel and Deseret Power's CEO Kimball Rasmussen. Representative Noel spoke at the business session held in Orderville. Mr. Rasmussen spoke at the business session held in Loa. The Loa Business Session included plaque presentations to Kent Parsons, Mauri Parsons, and Johnny Parsons, recognizing their outstanding service and support to Garkane Energy and its' Members for TV, radio, and communications delivery and maintenance service throughout South-Central Utah and Northern Arizona. Particular thanks was given to Kent Parsons for his pioneering efforts to develop and deliver this service to the rural areas of South-Central Utah. New to this year's business sessions included youth speakers from last year's Utah Rural Electric Association (UREA) Youth Leadership Conference which is co-sponsored by Garkane and several other Cooperatives in Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming. Valley High School Senior, David Glover spoke in the Business Session in Orderville, and Wayne High School Senior, Audra Chappell spoke in the Loa Business Session. Audra will represent Garkane Energy as a Youth Director at this summer's UREA Youth Leadership Conference held in Ephraim, Utah at Snow College. In accordance with the Cooperative's Bylaws, Directors Griffiths, Brown, and Blackburn will all serve three year terms. Garkane Board Members will also elect Board Officers and representatives to Deseret Power (Garkane=s wholesale power supplier) and the Utah Rural Electric Association (Statewide organization) at the first regular Board Meeting following the Annual Meeting. That meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 26,2006 in Hatch, Utah. LEGAL NOTICES BOULDER PUBLIC HEARING RESCHEDULED The Public Hearing originally scheduled for April 27 was rescheduled.
