Show = — OBITUARY Oo B ITU A RY | Charleston, UT- Joseph William (Bill) Simmons, age 93, passed away Friday, May 25, 2001 in Heber City, Utah. Born March 4, 1908 in Charleston, Utah the son of George and Sarah er, great-grandmother, neighbor and friend passed away Thursday, May 24, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born December 25, 1918 in Woodland, Summit County, Utah, to Amos Levi and Lillian Jones McNeil. She spent her growing up years in the Francis area. Married Wayne Hendricks on June 20, 1936. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1987. Erma was an active member of the LDS Church serving in various organizations including the genealogy extraction program. She was a . member of the Francis, and Canyon Rim Chapters of the DUP. After working for 26 years, she retired from American Linen. Mother loved music, dancing, and taking rides in the country. Our homes are filled with her crocheted afghans, handmade dolls, beadwork, and much, much more that she did for us through the years. She will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved her. And a special friend, Fairbanks Wilson. Survivors include her three daughters, Lawanna (Curtis) Maxfield of Draper; Shanna Walsh of Murray; Connie Doty (fiannce Kane) of Salt Lake * City; daughter-in-law, Janace Hendricks; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Also, survived by two sisters, Neva (Herb) Paschal, and Amy Eckert both of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by husband; two sons Ronald and Gary; son-in-law Robert (Rocky) Walsh; granddaughter, Erma Danielle; grandson, Ricky; and both parents. Funeral services were held Wedneeday. Married Idona Nielson April 16, 1931 in Heber City. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Later divorced. Married Alice Linda Cheney Elkins April 21, 1972 in Elko, NV. Bill was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daySaints. He worked as a farmer and rancher all his life. As a Holstein dairy farmer his cattle were high quality, top producers. He also worked in the Park City Mines. In his later years he worked for the U.S. Forest Service. Served on the board of directors for the Federal Land Bank; President of the Charleston Water Conservancy District when it was organized. Bill enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing, and was an excellent marksman. He was an expert horseman, and raised registered quarter horses as a member of the AQHA. He was well liked and respected by those who worked with him, as well as family and friends. Survivors include ten children, Leola LaRue Gotberg Kreek; Rhea Jean Johnson; Wilma Von (Linden) Maxfield; Pauline Peterson; Sheron William Simmons; Sheral Ann (Ted) Taylor; Joyce (Dale) Giles; Karl DeLynn - Judy) Simmons; Jolene (Ronald) Cox; Craig J. (Brigitte) Simmons; son-inlaw, Roy L. Kendall; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by both parents; daughter, Maurine Kendall; son, Neil Junior; and all ten brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held Tuesday May 29 - 11: 00 A.M. in ‘the Charleston LDS Chapel, 3251 South 3500 West, Charleston. MISSIONARY Gene and Ruth (Clawson) Gardner OBITUARY Cindy Lynn Timpson MacFarlane 5 Heber City. UT- Cindy Lynn Timpson MacFarlane, 38, passed away May 27, 2001 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center due to complications following childbirth. Cindy was born January 23, 1963 in Salt Lake a Gene and Ruth (Clawson) Gardner have accepted a mission call to the Halifax, Canada (Nova Scotia), mission. They will enter the msision home June 5 to be trained. The Gardners will travel across the United States in their trailer home which will then be their residence during their mission. Cindy married her eternal sweetheart, Rodger MacFarlane on June 5, 1984 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Salt Lake several years before moving to their dream home; in Heber. They have five children: Ashton-15, Brandon-13, KC-12, sierra Dawn-5 and Jacob. Jacob continues his valiant struggle for life at Primary Children's Hospital. Cindy worked at Smiths! for ten years - most recently at the Park City store. Cindy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints of the Millroad Ward in Heber and served in many capacities. Cindy enjoyed life her loving family in many activities including especially loved watching her boys participate had many talents in crafts and music and Promised Valley Production for two years. Eight nieces and nine nephews. : Funeral services were held Thursday, May 31, 2001 - 12 Noon in the Heber East Stake Center, 2395 South Mill ae Heber City. Interment will be in the Heber City Cemetery. _ A trust fund at Zions Bank has been set up for the children under the ‘name "Cindy MacFarlane Children Trust".
