Due to facility constraints, says Gailey, animals (dogs) can only be held in the shelter for five days; cats left at the shelter are immediately euthanized. Through the Foster Friends program, Wasatch County residents have the opportunity to breathe new hope into the life of a furry friend, buying the pet the extra time that is often necessary to place him or her in a good home.
