Peacock resumes his projected twenty year career in the U.S. military service at the age of 25. If all goes as planned, he anticipates retirement in 1992. He will then be 41 years old. F. Scott Peacock, son of Frank Peacock, Manti, and Carol C. Peacock, formerly of Manti and now residing in Salt Lake City, received his bachelor of science degree at University of Utah commencement ceremonies held this morning in the Special Events Center on the U campus in Salt Lake City. Majoring in sociology, Scott graduated with coveted magna cum laude honors. He also received his commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Army as a concluding follow-u- p to his ROTC affiliation while attending the U. He has received orders to leave Salt Lake June 14 and report to Ft. Gordon, Georgia, for a basic Signal Officer training course. Scott served with the regular army in Thailand from 1970 through 1973. During the summer of 1974 he took paratrooper training while stationed at Ft. Benning, Ga. In 1975, the young ROTC cadet spent a tour of duty as a rifle platoon leader at Ft. Lewis, Washington. By special request, Scott was held over last summer to act as an infantry instructor with the 9th Infantry Division at Ft. Blessed Events New Baby Girl A baby girl was born to Jerry and Darleen Anderson June 5 at the Utah Valley Hospital. She weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Anderson, Mt.
