Oviatt (Barbara) and their daughter, Brenda, came for the fair from Bozeman, Montana and to visit their parents, the Stanford Madsens. Also Mr. and Mrs. Lee Madsen from Kanosh, Utah and two sons Eric and Troy are the visiting their parents, over the weekend before going to Whittier, California where he will teach school. Stanford Madsens, Mrs. Barbara Christensen has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Johnson, for two weeks while her husband, Jim, was with the National Guard. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bair visited in Lehi with Clyde and Doris Bair and enjoyed a nice birthday dinner in honor of Harold. They also visited with a daughter, Louise, and her husband Burton Tew in ger, Utah. Gran- Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Clements are their families, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clements and daughter Wanda, Harold and Penny Taylor and son William from Hagerman, Idaho, Ron and Joan Bierman and three children, Janet, Chris and Eric from Ogden, Tommy and Ilean Warham and six children from Wyoming, and Janet and Fred Bos from Costa Mesa, California. Mrs. John R. Nielson enjoyed very much having her family home recently. They were Mr. and Mrs. Errol Nielson, Boise, Idaho; Eve Nielson, Provo; Veslois Carbine and four Anahiem, daughters, Cali- fornia; Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Nielson and family and Bishop and Mrs. Lynn Nielson and family, all of Manti. Birthdays celebrated were those of Elsie Nielson and Russell Nielson, son of John Henry. Max and Doris Hansen were in Salt Lake, Magna and Bountiful during the Labor Day weekend. They stayed at the home of Larry and Berdine Morley in Bountiful and with Bob and Arlene Anderson and their grandchildren in Granger and Hunter and in Salt Lake their two little City with sister, Mabel Curtis, returned home to Manti with them to visit for a few days. Mrs. Benson accompanied them to their homes to spend a few days this week, Sunday afternoon. Labor Day guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Aycock were friends from Riverdale, Utah, Gordon and Shirley Christensen and five children. The group arrived Friday and left in the afternoon Monday. While they were here a son, David Christensen, celebrated his birthday Sunday. While the Christensens were in Ephraim they discovered that a cousin, Bruce Bean, of Gordons was a close neighbor of the Aycocks. Gorge Quintero of Columbia, South America arrived last week in Ephraim where he will live with the Kim and Katie Jean Larsen family for a year on the Youth for Understanding program. Gorge is 15 and will enroll as a sophomore in Manti High School this week. A sister came with him and will be living in Michigan as part of the same program. Both of the young people speak mostly Spanish. Jay Veres of Fort Defiance, Arizona arrived back in Ephraim last week to attend school here this winter. He has been recovering at home and will be able to attend school. Lloyd Kjar have been camping overnight up Manti canyon. They returned home Monday. Present were Kim and Kandis and children from Grace, Idaho; Lloyd and Dixie Kjar and five children from Layton; Lewis and Darlene Kjar and three children from Tuba City, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ekberg (Naomi) from Salt Lake City visited over the weekend with Naomis mother, Mrs. Howard Madsen. Ed and Elaine Higham were Kathy and Brad Rasmussen and three children from Salina; Merwyn and Gae Kjar and two children from Moroni. Marion and Marilyn Denison and children, formerly from West Jordan are in Manti living in the former home of Mrs. Reba Madsen. Marion is one of the three marshalls in Manti. Tuesday a week ago. They stopped to see a doctor in Provo and then went on to Salt Lake City where Ed kept an appointment with the Limb and Brace Company. They were overnight guests of Elaines sister, Mrs. Thelma Whitlock. Visitors at the Fred Wintch home have been Neil and Alice Louise Christensen and their five children from Pleasant Grove. Kenneth Wintch, wife and two daughters from Everett, Washington are visiting until next Friday; Joe Barney and Carma Wintch and three children from Bellingham, Washington will stay ten days at the Wintch's. Millard and Susan Barney and Leauna and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nelson and two children spent the weekend with Richards moth- er, Mrs. Maurine Nelson. Richard is going to school getting his Masters degree part time and teaching time. part Pearl Dickerson and her Janet Wintch, daughters of young son, from Mesa, Arizona spent the weekend in Manti where she and her children used to reside. Kenneth and his wife are all in Provo going to the BYU. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nielson (LaRue) and children from Tooele have spent the Labor Day weekend as guests of LaRues aunt, Edna Christensen. and Mrs. Raymond John Barton, son of Mr. and and baby of Midvale Mrs. Bruce Barton, has spent were visitors last week at the home of his grandmother, Ann the summer in Salt Lake City where he has had employment. They spent some time with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Olsen and Mr. and Mrs. Bob ! Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. William (Zella) Bell are visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Bly Beal.
