Russell Gray. This brings the count to 19 grandchildren for the Ephraim Grays. This makes three grandchildren for Dr. and Mrs. N. Keith Roberts living in Tehran, Iran. Dr. Roberts is on the teaching staff at Utah State University. In March Lt. Gray visited with Dr. and Mrs. Roberts in Tehran while on a routine cargo flight. Lt. Gray flies a cargo plane at McChord Air Force Base, Tacoma. Sterling Soldier Ends Training June First Class Alfred V. Peterson, 19, son of Mrs. Charlotte Peterson, Sterling, Utah, recently completed nine weeks of advanced individual training at the U.S. Army Infantry Training Canter, Ft. Ft. Polk, La. (AHTNC) Polk, La. He received general training as a light weapons infantryman and as a mortar and recoilless rifle crewman, in addition to specialized weapons instruction. He also was taught the proper use of high explosives and the placement, detection and disarming of mines. Teamwork was emphasized while he learned to work as a member of a rifle squad, mortar squad or direct fire section. The times for registration - adv., and class are:8:00-9:013 yrs. and older; adv., 5 - 12 yrs.; 10:00-11:0- Get Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Harmon and their daughter, Judy, attended Commencement Exercises at Utah State University to see Judy's husband, Marvin Tolman, receive the degree of Doctor of Education in curriculum development and supervision. Dr. Tolman wrote a dissertation entitled Development and Validation of a Waiver Test for the Math Content Courses Required of Elementary Education Majors at Utah State University." He received a bachelors degree in childhood development and elementary education in at USU, and a Master of Education degree in science at and math education in the University of Utah. The Tolmans have four children and are living in Spanish Fork where Dr. Tolman is employed with Ncbo School District. He has developed an individualized math program used by many schools in the district. He has also been nominated for the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award. Young Homemakers Will Meet The Young Homemakers meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 25th at 7:30 June Receives Ph.D. p.m. Donation: 75c per person; $3.50 per family.
