Kottman, dean of the College of Agriculture and Home Economics at Ohio State University. In the latest edition of the Going to College Handbook, the Ohio State dean forecasts that nearly 900,000 professional people will be employed in agriculture and natural resources by 1980, compared with just under 600,000 in 1970. o and are planning careers in agriculture, the associated biological sciences, or forestry may qualify for college in programs scholarships supervised by the Cooperative Service with Extension awards arranged by the NaService Comtional mittee, Chicago. Scholarship donors are: Homelite, A Division of Textron, Inc.; DeKalb AgRe-searcInc.; Allied Mills, Inc.; Chevron Chemical Company, Ortho Division; Recipe Division, Champion Valley Farms, Inc.; and Alpha Gamma Rho Educational Foundation. The commissioners declined membership in another organization because they feel two organizations structured for the same functions and purposes on basis are not a in Central Utah the necessary District. CommissionThe ers do, however, support the need to revitalize the County Councils of Government which were at one time organized and functioning in each of the six counties. In a case or two, these councils are still in operation. Active county councils decision-makinthe strengthen process at the grass roots level of development planning and the facilitates cooperation, communication, and coordination between all levels of government operations. The commissioners also feel that the present Commissioners Organization is serving a worthwhile purpose and function for the Centrai Utah District. It has been organized on a voluntary basis for the past 14 years with their major goal being to serve the total population of the area.
