Mrs. Judd said that it was colder than in Manti and that there was snow all the way down there and a very cold wind. Coming from San Diego, California to attend the funeral services of his sister, Jane Mickelson, were Kent and Marge Stott, daughter Tamara and son Warren. Kent was stationed in the Philippines and flew to Salt Lake City where Marge picked him up and they came to Manti to their parents home, Mr. and Mrs. Girven Stott. Ora Mae has been recently presented the highest award given in scouting, the Silver Beaver Award. As the mother of seven boys and three girls she has been involved in scouting for the past 17 years. She has served as den mother and den leader coach in Utah, Wisconsin and California and at the present time is District Director for Cub Scouting in the Newbury Park Stake. Six of her sons are Eagle Scouts and the seventh, who is 13, is at present a Life Scout. Her husband has been in scouting for 35 years and himself received the Silver Beaver Award in 1968. family. ss Bonnie and Blair Riddle and little son from Kanab stopped in Manti to get their grandmother, Thelma Tatton, and take her to Provo and Salt Lake with them while they attended to business matters. They, then, drove to Clearfield to visit with Bonnies mother, Mrs. Maurine Bown. From there they drove to Logan to visit a sister, Vicki Bown who is the assistant manager of a lodge up Logan canyon. Thelma reports that it was an enjoyable trip for her. Doug and Dorthy Jorgensen spent the Easter weekend in Ogden with their children, Ron and Janet Jensen and two children. It was their grandsons (Ronny) birthday. They also visited with their son, Gordon and wife, Lorna and their little son, Nick. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Christiansen spent Easter weekend in Granger with their son Clair Christiansen and family. Manti PTA Enjoy Afternoon Tea Manti Elementary PTA hon- ored 1975 room mothers and teachers at a pleasant afternoon tea March 27. Guest speaker for the event was 1974 State PTA President Mrs. Ernest Burnside of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Burnside is presently on the National PTA board and a member of the State Board of Education. Her topic dealt with community concern in PTA. Earlier that day Mrs. Burn- - The Manti Center Ward Relief Society will be held Tuesday, April 8 at 10 a.m. The homemaking lesson will be under the direction of Sandra Cox. The quilting committee under the direction of Lily Jane Miller will have a quilt. Luncheon will be served. The family health lesson will be given by Lula Larsen. The second session will be held on Wednesday, April 9 at 7 p.m. The same activities will be held.
