PRITCHETT This home is a joy to behold both outside National Guard Sponsors Bantam Basketball For the 18th straight season, Utah National Guard Bantam Basketball is under way and nearly 3,000 boys from around the state are preparing for an exciting year. Registration is taking place at armories throughout the state and play is scheduled to begin January 8 and end with tournaments in March. Bantam Basketball is the best program of its kind in the state because all that is required of boys wanting to play is just to register for the program. Boys 11, 12, and 13 years of age are eligible. Through special arrangements by the Ephraim Businessmens Association the whiskered gentleman wil be distributing candy and nuts to children on Saturday, December 14 between 2 and 3 p.m. He will be near the Ephraim Swimming Pool. At 3 p.m. all children who wish to swim may do so for the special rate of 25? from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. cooks can put it together. A slight charge will be made for soup, hot drinks and bake and sew sale. DEAN JOHANSEN T General Priesthood Meeting For Manti Utah Stake Is Set for December 15 General priesthood meeting for the Manti Utah Stake wlU be held Sunday afternoon, December 15 in the Manti Center-Nor- th Ward Chapel. The session is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. All priesthood bearers, Aaronlc and Melchizedek, within the confines of the stake are requested to be in attendance, according to Stake'Pres-ide- nt Wilbur W. Cox. President Cox reminded the priesthood holders that this general session is held only once each quarter and it is imperative that a sincere effort and inside. The public is invited free of charge. Jimmy Ockey besides being an ardent scholar plays a guitar, loves to read and likes sports such as baseball, basketball and football. His favorite subjects are math, science and French. He is active in his deacons quorum and is in the scouts. Kathy Allred is an asset to her class. She was active on the school paper last year. This year she is editor of the yearbook. Kathy is active in her church, participates in H activities and plays both the piano and flute. She is friendly and cooperative in all her activities. The program will begin at 8:00 p.m. in the Junior High auditorium. The program will be presented by the band and chorus members and will feature the traditional Christmas carols as well as some of the better loved modern Christmas music.
