Show Bible, Christian Way of Life Traditional Study Expands Knowledge i Group Bible study is a longstanding tradition of the Christian way of life. Some churches sponsor such groups on Sunday evenings, others as part of a regular Sunday School class and still others on a week night. however, Many persons, go through life taking these classes over and over from different ministers who serve the churches they belong to. All involved are likely to say they gam something from each class and from each new instructor How does one make a Bible study class meaningful Two church leaders commented this week. Main Goals 10 There are 10 mam goals a Bible stidy group should aim for, says the Rev. Austin Meekms, pastor of Valley West Baptist Church All such should groups strive for personal faith m Jesus Chnst as Saviour and Lord, growth to in response the Holy Spint and love to others, said Pastor Meekms. To date all seven denominations already involved in the Council have endorsed the conference concept, said Dr. Elton Newman, president of the working toward establishing a Protestant chaplaincy at the Utah State Prison. Others are supporting the Protestant Student Center at the Intermoun-tai- n Indian School. Specifics will have to be decided by those that become involved.
