petition congress to pass a law providing tor for the retire ment of government employed emp loyes on pen alons this Is in accordance with a resolution adopted at the last conven tion of the international the resola tion set bet forth that the international indorsed the retirement of govern dent ment employed emp loyes on pensions and in strutted ted its president to appear before committees committe ep of congress that have bills under consideration looking to that end and use his best efforts to effect their passage it further pro vided that this body requests local i unions to petition congress to pass such law that our delegates to the american federation of labor be in strutted ted to ask favorable action by that body upon the retirement meas ure and ask the american federation of labor and its allied bodies to pett tion congress tor for Us its passage and ask the president and executive committee of the federation to appear in person before the congress and urge
