Antelope Island State Parkis a park that most are unfamiliar with or it is a location that people only visit once and don't return. The island has a surprising number of international visitors every year. Antelope Island maintains 500 head of bison. The island also hosts pronghorn deer, coyote and a multitude of bird species. There are insects on the island; however, most are seasonal. Before you visit the island you can call the front gate at (801) 773-2941 to see how the bugs are. 10011AIIm oSI 301AI:13S Master Sgt. David W. Foote Jr. 775th Civil Engineer Squadron: There is a beach on Antelope Island, and you can swim in the lake. There is a popular restaurant near the beach that serves buffalo burgers. The meat used from the burgers isn't from the island. If you visit the ranch there are picnic tables under shady trees perfect for a family lunch. In the visitor's center there are books related to the island, and artwork by local artists. There is also a great informational video that will give you an overview of the island state park. The visitor's center is a great place to start your day on Antelope Island. There are a multitude of things to do and see on Antelope Island. Admission is $9 per car.
