Parking lots southeast of Building 1926 will also be affected. Continuing through July 23, a bypass route will be in place and construction activities will begin on Warrior Way. The bypass route wilt be in effect throughout the duration of the project and will consist of a dearty marked graded dirt road. Drivers using the bypass route are cautioned to use reduced speeds of 10 mph. Local traffic to North Drive will not be affected. Hogle Zoo offers military events The Hogle Zoo, located in Salt Lake City, will be hosting a Salute Our Military event Friday, July 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature a flag-raising ceremony, marching band, military equipment displays, a rock climbing wall, animal presentations and more. The zoo will be hosting Military Appreciation Days July 1-3. All military personnel — including veterans — and their immediate families (spouse and dependants under age 18) will receive free admission with a valid military or veteran ID. The zoo will also be offering a 10 percent discount at their concession stands with military or veteran ID. administrative facilities on base will be closed and should be using the minimum amount of electrical energy required to maintain space temperatures, lighting and security systems. Collecting and evaluating this information will allow the Energy Management Office to determine that day's minimum electrical energy requirements for base facilities and give us a goal to reach for during future campaigns. Prior to leaving your work area to start your holiday weekend, you are asked to look around to ensure all unnecessary energy using equipment is turned off. Ensure office equipment, copiers, coffee makers and general area lighting is turned off. Ensure timers or photocells for exterior lighting and static displays are functioning properly so unnecessary lights are not burning throughout the daytime hours or night-time periods when visitors are not likely to be in an area. Hill AFB policy for computers shall be followed, but where independent computer monitors and other non-network computer peripheral devices (such as speakers or scanners) are used, these, should be turned off. If your building has a locally controlled thermostat, the facility manager should ensure that it is turned off or set back to unoccupied temperature settings.
