Music Rodeo PLEASANT GROVE — Free Strawberries a parade of 123 float band concerts and a rodeo will be principal attractions at the fourteenth annual Strawberry day to be held in Pleasant Grove Wednesday Commtttee members said berries were at their best and that they anticipate upward of BOOO persons will be served free geperout helping of the strawberry dish Invitations requesting the Riddle 38 former city treasurer and active L D S church worker who diet here Wednesday following an operation for sar-- v coma of the kid- v ney Mr Riddle was born In Escalante on March 23 1897 a son of Isaac J and Clara Barry Riddle He first came to Cedar 1922 in City atwhere he tended and was from graduated the Branch Agricultural college On September 17 1919 he was married in the Manti L D S temple to Loretta Barnson also of Escalante Since coming here Mr Riddle has been prominent In civic and church affairs having served two terms as city treasurer from 1928 to 1921 and was a member of Parowan L D S stake high council at the time of his death Since 1931 he had been assistant secretary and treasurer of the Southern Utah Power company here From 1916 to 1919 Mr Riddle labored as a missionary for the L D S church In the northwestern states mission And before coming to Cedar City he served on the Escalante town board and In the high council of Garfield L EL 8 stake He served
