She was a lifelong resident of Liberty where she attended the local schools. Verena was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in Primary and the Young Womens program. She loved spending time with her family. She loved to travel and supported all of her children and grandchildren as they raced horses, participated in rodeos and all other activities. She also loved playing cards and being surrounded by those she loved. Her family meant everything to her. Surviving are her husband, Bud, of Liberty; one son and two daughters, James L. (Carol) Willard, St. George; Sharon Kay (Frank) Southwick, Liberty; Sheila W. Gibson, North Ogden; two daughters-inlaw, Ranae Willard, Willard, Utah; Lisa Willard, Ogden; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and two sisters, Grant (Sara) Allred, Shelley, Idaho; Blaine (Penny) Allred, Phoenix, Arizona; Gayle (Joan) Allred, Yuma, Arizona; Mark (Julie) Allred, North Ogden; Iola (Wayne) Carpenter, St. George; Norma (Vern) Shaw, Roy. She was preceded in death by two sons, Monte Willard and Scott Willard; and her parents. Funeral services were held Monday, February 16 at the Liberty 1st Ward Chapel, 3300 East 4150 North, with Bishop Roger Bailey officiating. Interment, Liberty Cemetery. Email condolences to the family at <lom@lindquistmortuary.com> Obituaries Donna Winter Fuller Donna Winter Fuller passed away on December 30, 2003 in Pima, Arizona. She was born March 1, 1927 in Huntsville. She was a daughter of Peter and Mabel Winter. She attended school in Huntsville and graduated from Weber High School. She married Milton Fuller and they live in Colorado and Pima, Arizona. She is survived by three sisters; Wanda, Ruth, and Cheryl. She is also survived by one daughter, Linda Fuller of Denver, Colorado; and one son, Daniel Fuller of Durango, Colorado. Her funeral and burial were in Arizona. Verena A. Willard LIBERTY - Verena Allred Willard, 76, died Thursday, February 12, 2004 at her home in Liberty, following a stroke. She was born April 21, 1928 in Tooele, Utah, a daughter of Justin Peter and Isabell Robinson Allred. On August 1, 1943, Verena married Lloyd “Bud” Willard in Liberty. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan LDS Temple. Valley Junction Dr. Eden Military Honors In Honor of Those Who Serve Utah Army National Guard Specialist Sheldon W. Holgreen of the 116th group. Utah Army National Guard Specialist Sheldon W. Holgreen of the 116th group was deployed to serve in Iraq in November. His group, the 116th, left on Monday, February 9 from Fort Carson, Colorado. They then caught a plane to Kuwait. From there, they will convoy into Iraq. Sheldon will serve his country for 1½ years. He is 19 years old and was raised in Sanpete Valley. He has one older brother and six younger sisters. His parents now reside in Ogden Valley. Sheldon graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina as Soldier Leader of the Cycle. His engineering unit will build bridges and other construction projects in Iraq. Sheldon states that he is very happy to serve his country, and hopes he will do a great job. According to Froerer, most of the Iraqi people are very thankful for Daniel Froerer the American presence in their country, and often express their concern that foreign troops will leave prematurely. They often ask the soldiers to help them learn about democracy. Many new businesses are also opening. “There are a lot of good things happening over there.” Daniel is currently serving a four-year commitment in the Army.
