All children from infancy through five years of age, and their caregivers, are invited to attend for stories and learning activities. Children are introduced to books, music and art and participate in learning activities. Every Monday and Thursday: 6th Grade Strings class will meet at Valley Elementary starting November 11 from 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. For more information call Marie Ogden at 745-2081. Every Tuesday: The Weber County Commission meets at 9:00 a.m. at the Weber County Bldg., 2380 Washington Blvd., Ogden, except on the 2nd Tuesday when the Commission meets at 5:00 p.m. Every 2nd Tuesday: The Ogden Canyon Club meets at the Oaks restaurant in Ogden Canyon at 7:00 p.m. For more information, call 392-8743. Every 2nd Wednesday: The Ogden Valley Translator/Recreation Special Service District meets at the Ogden Valley Library at 7:00 p.m. Every 4th Wednesday: The Eden Park Board meets at the ReMax office next to Valley Market in Eden at 7:00 p.m. Every Thursday: Senior Meals at the Ogden Valley Community Room at the Ogden Valley Library at noon. $2.00 for Seniors, $4.00 for ages 59 and younger. Every Thursday: SCRAPBOOK NIGHT at Red Rock Ranch Outfitters. Bring your scrapbook, supplies and your ideas and join us for a night of cutting and sharing. (Community Emergency Response Team) meets at the Ogden Valley Library at 7:00 p.m. Leaders meet monthly and team members meet quarterly. More volunteers are needed. Buzz and his acoustic guitar will play 50’s through 70’s pop folk and country R&B music. Dr. Jack performs brassy blues and vocals. Nate Weathers will play folk rock and original tunes. FREE. November 14 - December 31: Lorna Wattis Swanson Art Gallery will showcase Steve Songer, and his paintings and David Cox and his pottery. The cost of the walk is “enthusiasm” . . . we take care of the rest! This is a great activity for the family, and a superb way to introduce children to nature. November 30: The Wild Bird Center will host a “Meet the Artist” event on Saturday, from Noon to 5 p.m. Debbie Goodman is the featured wildlife artist who specializes in Animal Art Prints. December 2: MOMS Club of Ogden – Ice Skating, 11:30 a.m. Ogden Ice Sheet (4390 Harrison Blvd/399-8750). Meet inside main doors. During the free skate times the kids can use the supports (a PVC structure that surrounds them and glides on the ice) that they have for the lessons if it’s not too crowded. Free under 3, Group Rate (10 or more): $2.50Adults; $2.00-ages 3-18. Skate Rental: $1.25 per pair. December 4: MOMS Club of Ogden – Christmas Party, 11:00 a.m. First United Methodist Church, 2604 Jefferson. December 8: The Ogden Valley Chordettes will hold their annual Christmas Concert at the Hearthside Reception Center located in Eden at 5612 East 2200 North at 7:00 p.m. The theme for this year’s concert is “Sing we now of Christmas . . .” Come and enjoy a lovely evening of music and merriment. Traditional, favorite familiar carols sung by the audience.
