Show Page 6 THE OGDEN VALLEY NEWS Volume VI, Issue III May 15, 2002 OVBA Web Site Creates New Look To better serve the community and its businesses, the Ogden Valley Business Association (OVBA) has enhanced its web site (ovba.org). The site now sports a new look and is more responsive to slower dial-up connections. It provides four ways for Internet visitors to easily find products and services of interest. First, the business category MENU appears as before on the left side of the page. Second, just below the menu, a SEARCH feature has been added. If a visitor is interested finding a salmon dinner, for example, the search term “salmon” provides direct links to the Yukon Grille in Trappers Village, the Hungry Wolf Grill, and Wolf Creek Banquet Services. Third, if the web site visitor already knows the name of the company, the COMPANY LIST link contains all OVBA business member’s page links. Finally, visitors to the site may sign up for email notified of any changes or additions to the site, as community features and business descriptions are periodically added and updated. Potential business members may learn about the OVBA through the CONTACT OVBA link near the top of every page. This link provides access to the OVBA’s goals, and the benefits of membership. The OVBA MEMBER LOGIN area allows members to communicate with other members using an up-to-date email address list. Current and potential business members are encouraged to suggest new business categories and subcategories for the products and services menu. Companies with a niche product or service can benefit greatly by being listed under a unique subcategory. The OVBA web site continues to be a very economical way for small businesses to have a web presence, both locally and globally. The next OVBA Monthly Meeting will be held at Rainbow Gardens on Wednesday, June 12 at 7:00 p.m. Plan on attending. For more information, contact Paul Judd at 745-6000, or Clair Beasley at 745-3021.
