Weston, son of Curtis and Darla Weston of Huntsville, will serve in the California Sacramento Mission. He spoke at the Middlefork Ward in Eden on May 12. Sister Leah Wood, daughter of Suzie and Bob Wood of Huntsville, will serve in the Paraguay Asuncion Mission. She spoke at the Middlefork Ward in Eden on May 19. Elder Bowdie Malan, son of Jeff and Sherry Malan of Eden, will serve in the Dominican Republic Mission. He spoke at the Eden 2nd Ward on May 27. Elder Taylor Shaw Oberg, son of Craig and Lynette Oberg of Liberty, will serve in the Tennes see Knoxville Mission. He spoke at the Liberty 1st Ward on May 27. Elder Casey Judd has been called to serve in the Orlando Florida Mission. He will speak at the Liberty 1st Ward on June 16, and reports to the Missionary Training Center on June 20. Returning Missionaries Vigil-Garcia Saxton-Saunders William J. Anderson Exchanging nuptial vows Saturday, April 28, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church were the former Christine F. Vigil and Mateas A. Garcia. The bride is a daughter of Eddy and Bianca Vigil of Liberty. Parents of the bridegroom are Alberto and Leslie Garcia of Sunset. A reception at the Secret Garden was held afterward. She chose Amanda Ewell as matron of honor. Alberto Garcia carried out the duties of best man. The new Mr. and Mrs. Garcia will live in Salt Lake City, after their wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He works for Electric Lightwave as an installer, and she works at Crosslands Rehabilitation Center as the director of social services. The bride graduated from Weber High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in social work at Weber State University and a master’s degree in social work at the University of Denver. He is a graduate of Mountain High School. Exchanging nuptial vows Saturday, May 19, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple were the former Bambi Joel Saxton and Michael Seth Saunders. The bride is the daughter of Craig and Trudy Saxton of North Ogden. Parents of the bridegroom are David and Laura Saunders of Liberty. Attendants were Natasha Saxton, Aaron Holbrook, Tanya Price, Melissa Archuleta, Jamie Hoch, Kelli Saunders, Candi Saunders, Lyndee Saunders, Ryan Putnam, Tyler Barker, and Ray Johns. A reception was held that evening at the Hearthside Reception Center in Eden. Both are graduates of Weber High School and LDS Seminary. She attends Weber State University and is employed at Calendar Systems and Spotlight Dance Studio. He served in the Brazil Salvador LDS Mission. He attends WSU and works at Bonneville Collections. After a honeymoon to Orlando, Florida, they will reside in Ogden. HUNTSVILLE - William J. (Bill) Anderson, 83, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at the McKay-Dee Hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1917, in Ogden, a son of William H. and Catherine Judd Anderson. He married Mary Harris on April 5, 1941, in Ogden. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently. He was a lifetime resident of Weber County and had been employed as a truck driver hauling livestock. Bill was a member of the Huntsville 1st LDS Ward. He enjoyed camping and hunting. Surviving are his wife of Huntsville; four daughters, Cheryl (Dennis) Cowan, Mary Jo (Jaylyn) Finlinson, and Kathy Anderson, all of Ogden; Margaret (Elmore) Laws, Anchorage, Alaska; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters and two sisters. Interment in the Ogden City Cemetery. Eagle Scouts Elder Neil S. Bailey, son of Eugene and Ruth Bailey of Liberty, served in the Australia Adelaide Mission. He spoke at the Liberty 2nd Ward in Eden on May 12. Elder Spencer Bailey, son of Roger and Karen Bailey of Liberty, served in the Peru Lima South Mission. He spoke at the Liberty 1st Ward in Eden on May 19. Elder Aaron Mark Layton, son of Scott H. and Connie Layton of Huntsville, served in the New Jersey Morristown Mission. He spoke at the Huntsville 1st Ward on May 27. Elder Brody Warnes, son of Mylan and Sue Warnes of Liberty, served in the Maryland Baltimore Mission. He spoke at the Liberty 3rd Ward on May 27. Obituaries Shane Martin, 18, of Troop 292, Pleasant View LDS 3rd Ward, received his Eagle Scout award. Shane is the son of Don and Trudi White of Pleasant View, and Mike and Brenda Martin of Eden. Shane is a senior at Weber High School.
