Invitation for Articles The staff of The OGDEN VALLEY NEWS welcomes the submission of articles by our readership. We invite you to submit local historical accounts or biographies, articles pertaining to contemporary issues, and/or other material that may be of interest to our readers. We also invite you to submit to the paper, or notify the staff of local events. Awards that have been earned by the reader, family members, neighbors or friends are also sought. Ogden Valley Citizen’s Advisory Committee Formed Are you aware that your community has a group of concerned citizens who serve as a liaison between the community and the Ogden Valley Sheriff’s office? The Community Advisory Committee is not a civilian review board, but it is a group of Ogden Valley residents, whose mission is to develop a better understanding between the Sheriff’s department and the citizens of Ogden Valley through education and communications. They work closely with station personnel concerning the law enforcement issues in our community. The committee wants to hear from you regarding your concerns and what you feel the law enforcement issues are in our expanding Valley. If you have a concern, you may contact a Committee Eden Planning Committee to Hold Elections The Eden Planning Committee has slated Thursday, December 7 to hold their annual election for new committee members. Eden residents and/or property owners are being asked to attend the meeting to run for a position on the committee, and/or to help elect members that they want to represent them before the Weber County Township Planning Commission and Weber County Commission on planning issues that affect Eden. Four positions on the board need to be filled. The committee meets once a month. The meeting will be held at Snowcrest Jr. High in Eden, at 7:00 p.m. Please plan on attending. Ogden Valley Citizen’s Advisory Committee— Weber County Sheriff’s Office Ron Gault - Huntsville 745-2601 Ralph Shropshire - Eden 745-9384 Gerry Imai - Wolf Creek, Eden 745-6768 Traffic engineers for the state are hoping that a new four-way stop at the intersection of Highway 162 at the corner of the Valley Market in Eden will cut down on the amount of accidents at the busy intersection. The Eden Planning Committee has been working with UDOT and the County during the last seven months in an effort to have the corner modified because of the high incidence of accidents in the area.
