Show Volume II, Issue XV THE OGDEN VALLEY NEWS Page 3 1 August 2000 The Ballet West School and Eccles Community Art Center Offering Classes The Ballet West School at the Eccles Community Art Center announces its 2000-2001 Dance School Year beginning August 28, 2000. Children ages 5 – 8 may register for classes on a first come, first serve basis. New students, ages 9 - 14 are required to attend an audition/placement class. Mr. Jonas Koge, Ballet West Artistic Director, will conduct class according to the following schedule: Wednesday, August 9th, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. - children, ages 9 - 12, without previous ballet experience; 8:00 – 9:00 p.m., children, ages 9 - 14 with one or more years of ballet training. Please note that potential students may need to return for an additional class on Thursday, August 10th at the same times. There is a $10.00 audition fee for the class with the pre-registration requirement. Fees may be paid and audition/registration applications acquired at the Ogden Eccles Community Art Center. In addition to the Ballet West Program, The Eccles Community Art Center Dance School offers a variety of dance classes. Classes include Jazz (ages 5 - 18, all levels), “Recreational” ballet (ages 12-18), Modern Dance (ages 5 and up), and Latin Dance (partners preferred, ages 16 & older). Fall Session begins August 28, 2000. Preregistration is requested with class minimums required.
