Warnes, son of Mylan and Sue Warnes of Liberty, will serve in the M a r y l a n d Baltimore Mission Elder Aaron Mark Layton, son of Scott H. and Connie Layton of Huntsville, has been called to serve in the New Jersey Morris Town Mission. His mission farewell was held at the Huntsville 1st Ward on May 30. Huntsville 1st Ward on May 23. Elder Skylar Alan Cox, son of Alan D. and Roxane M. Cox of Liberty, has been called to serve in the Mexico Puebla Mission. His mission farewell was held at the Liberty 1st Ward on May 23. Weddings Smith-Naylor – Aubrey K. Smith and Joshua W. Naylor were united in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The bride is the daughter of Lindford R.T. and Karen Smith of Liberty. The bridegroom is the son of Marc and Linda Naylor, also of Liberty. Sister Heather Lewis, daughter of Derwin and Becky Lewis of Liberty, has been called to serve in the Illinois Chicago North Mission. Her mission farewell was held at the Liberty 2nd Ward on May 23. Elder Bryce J. Richardson, son of Delwyn and Williamena Richardson of Huntsville, has been called to serve in the Argentina Cordoba Mission. His mission farewell was held at the Huntsville 1st Ward on May 23. Joshua Naylor & Aubrey Smith A reception was held that evening at the Atoka Lodge. Karalyn Smith was matron of honor and Derek Naylor served as the best man. The bride graduated from Weber High School and LDS Seminary. She attends Weber State University, where she plays on the women’s soccer team and is pursuing a degree in psychology. The bridegroom graduated form Weber High School and attends WSU, pursuing a degree in business management. He served in the California Arcadia LDS Mission. He works at the Valley Glass Corp. The new Mr. and Mrs. Naylor will reside in Ogden after a wedding trip to California. Births Elder Delwyn Richardson and Sister Williamena Richardson of Huntsville, have been called to serve in the El Salvador East Mission. Their mission farewell was held at the Brandon William Daugaard born May 30th to Becky and Chris Daugaard. Healthy bouncing baby boy. EDEN – Jeanne Clarke, our cherished Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend, passed away peacefully at Ogden Regional Medical Center on May 22, 1999. Kathy Jeanne Schreck was born July 24, 1951, the daughter of E. Paul Schreck and Mary Cilensek Schreck. She was raised in Ogden, Utah. Jeanne married Thomas Layne Clarke July 6, 1973; they recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. They are the devoted parents of son, William Layne; and three daughters, Krista Jeanne, Terra Lynn, and Katrina. Her life was truly blessed by her wonderful husband and her loving children. She was one of nine siblings: W. Paul Schreck, Paula Lonneman, Robert Schreck, Richard Schreck, Mary Louise Herzog, Kevin Schreck, Carla George, Tami Pierson, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was a select member of a small group of people who have battled cancer many years and lived life to its fullest. We thank Ogden Regional Medical Center and the University of Utah Bone Marrow Transplant Team for its devotion to Jeanne’s care. She joined the hospital staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center in 1983. She worked in the business office, the Cancer Treatment Center, and moved within the hospital to the Staff Development office where she published the ideals of the hospital and was special help to all those who had the privilege of working with her. A s a member of St. Florence Catholic Church, she served in many administrative and spiritual roles. She was founding member of the Parish, teacher of religious education, and served as Eucharistic Minister. Jeanne was a very special spirit with a joy in her life. She had a unique gift with children and her much-loved pets. She was a very creative person who brought so many people to God with her love and was very dear to all that knew her, especially her family. Jeanne was very impressed with the compassion, technology and love the St. Benedict Sisters offer to all. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Benedict Sisters, Mount Benedict Priory, 309 E. 5450 S., Ogden, Utah 84405. LIBERTY – Waylon Cade Montgomery was returned to the arms of his heavenly Father from his home in Liberty on June 1, 1999. He was born to Josh Montgomery and Wendy Hurd Montgomery. He was the fourth of four children. His brothers and sisters, Hayley Morgan, Joshua Daniel, and Jessica Mae will never forget his sweet smile and long loving stares into their eye. His family, grandparents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who were able to share in his short life have all been deeply touched by the perfectness of his special spirit. He is survived by his parents, Josh and Wendy; one brother, J.D.; two sisters, Hayley and Jessica; his grandparents, Kent and Rosalie Hurd, Plain City; Aus and Gay Montgomery, Liberty; many aunts, uncles, cousins and other close family and friends. Waylon Cade, thank you for the short sweet time that we were able to be together. Your Mom and Dad are so proud and humbled to have you for a son. Although we miss you so much already, we know you have other important things to do now. We know that Mark, Daniel, Melanie, Ashley, John, Bessie, Walt, and Della re caring for you know. Give them a kiss for us. We look forward to our beautiful reunion that we will someday have. Graveside services were held at the Liberty Cemetery with Bishop David Wadman officiating. Our precious Elisabeth Kay Hillstrom died at home on Sunday June 6, 1999, after a valiant one-year challenge with cancer. She was born May 6, 1992 in Ogden. Her parents are Mike and Cindy Hillstrom. Her family and extended family were most important to her. She loved playing games like Skipbo and Uno and just being together. Elisabeth also loved birthdays, reading books, listening to tapes, being with cousins, and visiting her grandma. She also participated in soccer and ballet. She attended Valley Elementary through the First grade and was a member of the Huntsville Middleton LDS Primary. She enjoyed her interaction with her teachers and friends. She is survived by her parents; three sisters and one brother, Camille, Jacob, Michaella, and Elisa; two grandmothers, Mary Boman and Audrey Hillstrom; and many aunts and uncles and cousins, all of whom loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by two grandfathers. Her sweet spirit and smile have always brightened those who knew her and came into contact with her. The family is especially appreciative to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for making her dream come true by providing her with a horse named “Carrots”. “The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.” - Mulan |
