He weighed 7 lbs. 8 ounces and was 21 inches in length. Lincoln Ross is the grandson of Jon and Debra Fuller Bingham of Eden, and Jack and Nancy Fahnestock of Eagle, Idaho. Obituaries Allison Buchi Weeks Allison Buchi Weeks, age 56, passed away November 9, 2011 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born April 22, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Allison Weeks Utah to Keith Victor and Mabel June Knowlden Buchi. She married Jeff Forest Weeks on November 6, 1987 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Allison was proud to be a bus assistant for Del Ida Vest Chatelain With grateful hearts for her life, the family of Del Ida Vest Chatelain announces her passing. She passed peacefully Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Heritage Park in Roy, Utah. Del Ida was born Del Ida Chatelain December 5, 1930 in Farmington, Utah to Clifford Hyrum Vest and Milda Mae Hess. She married Conard LeVere Chatelain of North Ogden July 29, 1950 in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was solemnized December 1, 1990 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Her life was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a Visiting Teacher, Primary Teacher, Young Women’s Teacher and President, and Librarian. She enjoyed her association with the Sigma Beta Phi Sorority. She was an avid bowler. She enjoyed the Davis County School District and loved children and her family very much. She is survived by her husband Jeff; son, Adam Forest Weeks, Oklahoma; one grandson, Tristan Forest Weeks; five sisters, Brooke Sellers, Salt Lake City; Adrienne Buchi, Bountiful; Shannon (Kevin) Jenks, Wendell, Idaho; Meridith (Shephen) Taylor, Eden; Lisa (John) Hermansen, Bountiful; three brothers, Christopher, Victor, Brandon Buchi; and 12 nieces, 10 nephews, 12 great-nieces, and 16 great nephews. Funeral services were held Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Clearfield 10th Ward Chapel, 350 Vine St., Clearfield. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery. Her greatest joy was to be able to travel with her children and grandchildren. She loved Christmas and made it a magical experience for her family. Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Clifford Hyrum and Milda Mae Hess Vest. Funeral services were held Monday, November 21, 2011 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 20 at Myers Mortuary. Condolences may be sent to the family at <www.myers-mortuary.com> Alta Jackson Spencer July 13, 1922 — November 15, 2011 “Together Again” Our dear mother, Alta Spencer, peacefully left this Alta Spencer world on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Alta was born July 13, 1922, at her grandparent’s home in Randolph, Utah, to Melvin and Lila Jackson. Her early childhood was spent at the family ranch in Randolph. Her family moved to West Ogden, Utah where she attended Weber County Schools, graduating from Weber High School. The family later moved to Eden, Utah. Alta loved to roller skate at the Berthana Roller Rink, and one night she met a handsome young man named Preston Spencer. They skated their way into an everlasting love, and married in the Manti, Utah Temple on November 28, 1941. They welcomed their first son Gary just before Preston left on his first assignment in the Air Force during World War II. Alta and Gary joined Preston while he was stationed in California, and later Oregon and Illinois. After the war, Alta and Preston settled in Aurora, Utah, where two more sons, Stephen and Rod, joined their family. They later moved to Eden, Utah where they were blessed with a daughter, Karla. Janet Cook Summers Janet Summers Our loving mother peacefully passed away at the age of 93 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 12, 1918 to David Hunter Cook and Chloe Liela Burrell. She was the tenth child of twelve children. She spent her childhood living in Cache Valley. On July 15, 1935 she married the love of her life Ross Summers, they later were sealed in the Logan Temple, January 9, 1949 for all eternity. After 66 years of marriage, Ross passed away November 20, 2001. There was never a day went by that she did not miss him. Janet was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings. She stated the most rewarding was being the MIA President of the Young Women. Janet was one of the most talented and gifted individuals; she excelled with perfection in everything she did. She quilted, embroidered, crocheted, knitted, tatted, painted, and decorated cakes. She made porcelain dolls, christening dresses and tuxedoes for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and others. Janet and Ross enjoyed taking their grandchildren on many camping and fishing trips. She was also known as G.G. by her great-grandchildren. Alta was a passionate member of the LDS faith, serving throughout her life in a variety of church positions. One of the cherished times of her life was when she and Preston were ordinance workers in the Ogden Temple. Mom worked in food services her entire life, working for Weber County Schools, the Ogden Temple, and the Hearthside in Eden. She was famous for her incredible cooking skills, and was especially well known for her cinnamon twists, cream pies, and twice baked potatoes. After their retirement, Alta and Preston were “snowbirds,” traveling to Southern Utah, Nevada, and California during the winter months. They also loved their annual trip to Fish Lake, with family and friends. She is survived by sons Gary (Suzanne), Stephen (Ann), and Rod (Barb) Spencer; and a daughter Karla (Rick) Allen. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 45½ great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Melvina Simmons and Patricia Younger. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. The family expresses a special thank you to the North Ogden 24th Ward, Autumn Rose Homecare, and granddaughter Amy Spencer. Services were held Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the North Ogden LDS 24th Ward, 1150 E. 2600 N., North Ogden, Utah. Interment at the Eden Cemetery, Eden, Utah. At the age of 13, she started playing in a dance band. This continued until the age of 87. The last 15 years was with the Brigham City Senior Swingers, and volunteering for many activities, and funerals. She worked for Power Flowers for 25 years, loving to create flower arrangements. Janet is survived by her four children, Chloan Kowaluk, N. Ogden: David (Marilyn) Summers, Eden: Gordon (Charlotte) Summers, Fruit Heights: Larry (Carol) Summers, Eden; 19 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren (two on the way). She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and twin great-granddaughters, Cassidee and Kennedee Summers. Funeral services were held Saturday, 19 November 2011 at the North Ogden 13th Ward at 950 E. 2850 N., North Ogden, Utah. Interment at the Avon Cemetery. A special thanks to Brenda, Shelly, Hannah, Becky, and all of the Summit Hospice care givers and Lori Yates, her hairdresser.
