Show Page 6 The Ogden Valley news Volume XIX Issue III May 1, 2011 Announcements Missionaries Bonnie and Dan Rhodes Dan and Bonnie Rhodes Dan and Bonnie Rhodes of Liberty, Utah recently traveled to Brisbane, Australia to Wedding Marsh - Doxey serve a fourth mission together for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They left on Monday, April 4 and will be gone for 18 months. They have already served with the Church Educational System at BYU Jerusalem, a temple mission in Orlando Florida, and an inner-city Ogden mission. The purpose of their mission in Brisbane, Australia is to assist the wards and branches with leadership and teaching. Dan and Bonnie have a large family—107 (children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren) in all—that will miss them very much. We are so proud of them for being willing to serve at this stage in their lives. We all hope that when we are at the age of 80 and 70, respectively, we will have the health, energy, and dedication to serve those around us as willingly as Dan and Bonnie do. We love you mom and dad, granny and grandpa . . . and we will keep you in our prayers! Your Family Anniversary Lynn and Seloma Porter Michelle Ann Marsh and Russell Saunders Doxey were married Friday, March 11 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. A reception was held in their honor that evening in Plain City. The bride is the daughter of Damon and Sherie Marsh of Plain City, Utah. She is a graduate of Fremont High School and is attending Weber State University. Parents of the groom are Dr. Thomas and Renae Doxey of Eden, Utah. He is a graduate of Weber High School and is attending Weber State University. He served in the England London South Mission. The new couple will live in Ogden. He served in the presidency of the Ogden LDS Temple for 9, years serving 3 of those years as president from 2002 to 2005. He was a sealer and ordinance worker in both the Ogden and Nauvoo Temples. He officiated in many family temple ceremonies. He considered his greatest joy and accomplishments to be his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years; children and spouses: Roger and DeeAnn Gardner, Ogden; Annette and (Curtis deceased) Jackson, Syracuse; Christine Drecksel, Woods Cross; Kenneth and Jolynn Gardner, Parker, CO; Randale and Diane Gardner, Syracuse; Geri and Daniel Cameron, Pinedale, WY; Jennifer and Shawn Moosman, Parker, CO; 34 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren, with 3 more on the way. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Sterling (Donna) Gardner, Blaine (Ann) Gardner, Jolene (Glade) Jeppson, Corvil Gardner, Fern Gardner.
