Show The Ogden Valley news Volume XVII Issue XX Page April 1, 2010 Vision for Kelley Creek Farm Continues Announcements Obituaries Ruth Dehlmar Ruth Dehlmar, 91, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2010. Born May 31, 1918 to Elwyn Paulson and Mary Wentland, she spent her early years in Courtland, California. Later, her family moved to Los Angeles where she attended school, then met Ruth Dehlmar and married her husband George. After George returned from World War II, they built their first home in California and Ruth began working for the Los Angeles City School District. Ruth loved to cook and everyone in the family cherished the fabulous meals Ruth lovingly prepared. She had a special flair for presenting meals in a beautiful way. Ruth loved to go to all of her favorite restaurants and especially liked all of the seafood that Southern California had to offer. The beach was also a Nondas L. Poulsen Our beloved Aunt Nondas and second mother passed away March 17, 2010. She was born on September 17, 1915 in Ogden, Utah to Elizabeth Kenley and Alexander Liddell. She was the youngest of 12 children and Nondas Poulsen loved by all her siblings. Nondas married the love of her life LeRoy Poulsen and together they built a successful Dry Cleaning business. She was a talented artist and seamstress and enjoyed travel and adventures. She was funny and feisty and showed all her special place to her. In 1977, Ruth and George retired to the Red Elephant Ranch a few miles west of Hailey, Idaho. She quickly adapted to the outdoor lifestyle and her and George enjoyed 20+ years in a ranching environment. She was a Master Gardner and happily worked hard every summer on nurturing a fantastic garden. Ruth was inspired by Idaho’s rural surroundings and delighted in keeping a lively menagerie of dogs and cats underfoot, indoors and out with cows, horses, and geese completing the landscape. Anyone who longs for a simpler existence, in harmony with the seasons and nature, could relate to Ruth’s world. Ruth is survived by her daughter Mary Rowland (Denzel) Eden, Utah and grandson Justin (Jennifer) Ruidoso, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, and son, George Jr. Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to the Wood River Animal Shelter in Hailey, Idaho. nieces and nephews how much she loved us! Nondas was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, and her six sisters and five brothers. Nondas is survived by her nieces and nephews, Kay (Lynn) Ellsworth; Sandra Burton; Nancy A. (Ted) Miller; Dee Russell; Barbara (Larry) Mullins; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Huntsville LDS Church. Burial followed at the Huntsville City Cemetery. Deceased Bernice Smith Runchel, 92, died March 12, 2010. Merva Bailey Ward, 94, died March 17, 2010.
