Paintings by Terrece Beesley at the Ogden Valley Branch Library An art exhibition featuring the watercolors of Terrece Beesley will be on display in the Lorna Wattis Swanson Gallery of the Ogden Valley Branch Library in Huntsville. Splashed with color, Beesley’s work has a light and playful quality. She skillfully uses brush strokes to give life, rhythm and energy to the cultural icons of everyday life. Beesley’s subject matter ranges from rubber duckies and goldfish to popsicles melting on the Sunday morning comics. “I enjoy painting the lively dialogue between natural and man-made objects. The people, places and objects in my paintings speak volumes about our culture,” said Beesley in her artist’s statement for this exhibit. Terrece grew up in Idaho, and graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts. Her background includes product design, publishing, and computer animation. Now a fulltime artist, Terrece Beesley lives and works in Layton, Utah. This exhibition will be on display at the Ogden Valley Branch Library from July 29 through September 9, 2009.
