Show ‘wrest THE OGDEN VALLEY NEWS Page 3 September 1, 2006 Primary Children’s Medical Center— Serving Children since 1922 Letters to the Editor Roskelley families. My special thanks go to Chris Bailey. He started helping me as a 2nd grader and was my assistant for many years. I have missed him since he went on his mission. Anna Tanner has also been my assistant for many years and has always been there for me—thank you. Other staff members have included Rhett Needham, Liam Hoyt, Blake Montgomery, and Colter Morby. There have been many families express their desire to have a Recreation Complex built here in the Valley. Since more families are moving here, now may be the time to move forward on this project. I worry that many groups have their own agenda and feel © come together on this project. If you are interested in the possibility of having a Recreation Complex or a public pool, please call me so that a committee can come together to make this a reality. Through all these years I have been involved as an active member of the National Park and Recreation Association, The National Aquatic Park and Recreation, and also the Northern Utah Park ion Association (NURPA). Hopefully I can be of some assistance to the committee, or find connections that will 2 derful and supportive people. Thank you to all the coaches; without them, there wouldn’t have been a program. They are the foundation to everything. I have been fortunate to have some great coaches who have been with the program for a long time, including Craig Oberg, Ryan Jones, Joe Heatherly, Brett Ure, Mike Ward, Dave Tanner, John Brady, Cindy Baker, Lou Johnson, Bob and Bryce Froerer, Jason Hanni, Dave Morby, Michelle Hardy, Bruce Warburton, Tom Dove, Dave Jenkins, Darrell Barnes, Thorpe Shupe, Randy Shepherd, Jim Robins, Scott Storey, and many others who I have not named. I especially want to express my greatest appreciation to Tami/Earl Snider, and Angie DeHart for assisting during a difficult time in my life with my father’s illness. Tami did such an awesome job. Angie has certainly been there for me. I will always treasure our special friendship and good times from nd now, congratulations to the Rookie T-Ball and the Ist/2nd grade basketball coaches. I’m sure they will coach for at least another ten years! Some of the key people who have been involved with decision making on the Recreation Board, who are also great coaches, are Doug and Tym Dickson, and Roger and Karen Bailey. Thanks for taking the time to make these programs a success. It has been so fun the last two years to see Ryan Bushell coach his own child in T-Ball, since Ryan started in the basketball program as a 6th grader with his dad coaching. That sure makes me feel old! Thank you to everyone involved. My staff that has worked for me through the years has done such a wonderful job. Thank you to the Bailey, Tanner, Froerer, Jones, Ward, Dove, Dickson, and Thank you again for all the great years, all the memories, and—most of all—the years of friendship. | still greatly miss our other Kathy Allen. Our paths crossed often in the world of sports. Please acknowledge her accomplishments, for I know she also worked hard on her programs too. I appreciate all the support that everyone has given to these programs through the years—may they continue to grow and prosper. Kathy Allen, E Primary Children's Medical Center Penns Bs py neh® .
