The retreat is scheduled for September 29 through October 1. The theme is Moving to the Rhythm of Your True Self: Participants will choose from 12 breakout sessions for a total of6 classes (2 hours long each). All sessions will share the theme of remembering true self and creating balance in life—mind, body, and spirit. The group consists of members and non-members of the Temple from the age of nine to grandmothers. The group is unique in the fact that they are truly a family group with many parents and their children performing together. Stan and Betty were members of the original group. Over the years, the reputation of the group has grown. They have performed at the Utah’s Centennial Celebration in the Delta Center, Utah Arts Festival, Taste of Ogden, Talent in the Park in Ogden, Layton’s Arts Festival, the 2002 Winter Olympics in SLC and Ogden, public and private schools, summer concerts, parades, and other civic events. But their most important performance each year is at the Salt Lake Buddhist Temple’s and Ogden Buddhist Temple’s Annual Obon Festivals.
