She says she started drawing pastel portraits at age ten. Throughout school she took art classes, and had her first onewoman show in high school. She attended Long Beach State College as an art major, while also attending Cerritos College as a pre-med and art major. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Southern California. Growing up in California g gave Cara a love for the beach, which she states, translates into my “beachy” pictures that show the whimsical side of human nature.” She concludes, “I continue to learn and grow as an artist, developing my own unique style. Summary of Minutes of Huntsville Town Council Meeting Held April 20, 2006 ~The Council approved a motion to renew the contract with Econo Waste for garbage collection service. When the contract originated it was with the provision that each year the contract could be reviewed. the town hall was remodeled everything was done except for the restrooms. The Council approved a motion for the expenditure of funds for the remodeling of both restrooms and the storage closet in the amount of $2,500.00. Most of the labor will be donated. Note: This is only a representation of the highlights or action items from the Town Council Meeting. It is not a detailed copy. Other items were discussed but not included in this summary. The Council adopted the proclamation in support of May being Foster Care Month ~ Council Member Truett reported that the traffic sign project is complete. Zack Buttars and Cory Thompson added and replaced, STOP, YIELD, DEAD END, and MPH signs around the town. They also placed a couple of “CHILDREN AT PLAY” signs around the park. Back in February of 2005, Council Member Truett made a motion to approve funds of $9,500.00 for the replacement of address signs and poles in town. This project was set aside due to the improper placement and aging of the traffic signs. The Council approved a motion to add an additional $1,500 to the original motion of $9,500 making the total $11,000.00 to fund the address sign project, which will include 41 intersections.
