He was born October 10, 1916 in Garland, Utah to Edith Wangsgard and Grover Cleveland Rollins. He married Evelyn Phillips, later divorced. In 1952 he married Mary Patricia Sweet, later divorced. Redek Ramona Bingham Redek, 79, passed away March 4, 2006 at Manor Care in Ogden, Utah. She was born April 18, 1926 in Milton, Utah to Walter and Lila Bingham. She REAL TELLURIDE NEwsS He was employed by Lockheed Corporation where he invented a method to extract spent machine gun casings and reload the belts, a system that was used in WWII in the Pacific. In 1950, he started General Machine Company in the old Summerill Foundry in Ogden, located on Jefferson Avenue, later on Stephens Avenue. He developed the first multiple row sugar beet harvester that was utilized extensively the industry throughout the United States. He also designed and patented several automotive carburetors, one of which he used on his own Oldsmobile, Toronado in 1966, obtaining 30 miles per gallon. On the side, he built a recreational off-road motorcycle called the Sidewinder and in his later days he designed and sold his own brand of stereo speakers and patented a stereo turntable tone arm. He guest lectured at Weber State College in automotive carburetion. He was an active member of Ogden Rotary. e is survived by his daughter Sally Rollins Adams (Howard) of Layton; his son Douglas Eugene Rollins of Quartz Hill, California; three grandchildren, Adriane Adams Allred (Aaron), Christopher Rollins Adams, and Hunter James Adams; and great-grandson Trent Allred. They have been married almost 61 yeai She has six children: L. ‘Elaine Miller, Salt Lake City; Dennis C. and Chris Groberg, Lake Villa, IL; Connie R. and Allan Hepford, Colorado Springs, CO; Sheron and Danny Leyba, Roy; Debra and Gary Buxton, Eden; and Douglas P. Groberg, Farr West. She has 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is the member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and has been a member of the same bowling league for 39 years. She is active in the LDS Church and has held various positions Her interests include traveling, bowling, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and watching soap operas She and her husband have been members of the Farr West Social Club for 58 years. Birthdays aw Rulon C. Shaw of Thatcher, Idaho, formerly of Farr West, celebrated his 80 birthday at a family dinner held in Idaho. He was born March 5, 1926 in Liberty to James and Virtue Shaw. He married Jean Blodgett August 22, 1946 in Ogden. She died in 1995 His four children and their spouses are John and Elaine Marshall, Leonard and Janene Dabb, Robert and LaDawn Cox, Ryan and Jan Shaw, and a step-daughter and her spouse Carol and Ronald Pratt. He has 25 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. He worked with his father for many years on the Liberty farm and worked at the Weber County Fire Department for 25 years where he was also fire chief. I Birthdays Groberg Irene G.
