The Random House College Dictionary says it’s an “aptitude for making desirle discoveries by accident.” I’ve heard and I’ve read how we shouldn’t fill our days up with things we “have” to do but allow time for the unexpected. This means that we allow time for serendipity to be a part of our lives so we will pay attention to things we might not have noticed.I I had a wonderful serendipitous treat the other by I was driving home from work just passing Pineview when the song “Butterfly Kisses” came on the radio. I started thinking about how my children used to love to give me butterfly kisses. I thought about Cody, my son who died 7 years ago, and how he loved to give me butterfly kisses when he was young and how he taught his daughter Kylee to give butterfly kisses when she was very small. I pica how he wouldn’t be here when Kylee getsr Thad an ceri feeling of missing my son so I drove straight to his grave, got out of car, sat down on his grave, aa cried. I noticed the perfect weather and the nice cool breeze—just like the one we had prayed for in August and received on my daughter Kenzie and her husband Trevor’s wedding day. We knew it was Cody’s gift to the newlyweds. Sitting there feeling the breeze on my face let me know that Cody was there comforting me. I thought about how much he loves me an w he wants me to know it.
