Library staff plans to provide a warm lunch and live music for the community. To help make the season merrier, donations of warm winter socks, mittens, hats, and scarves are being requested in order to provide small gifts for those who attend. Cole Schlack of Liberty, who is closely acquainted with the operators of the Teton Science School, is hoping to generate enough interest in the Valley so that a similar program can be offered to students within the Weber County area. Schlack states, “This experiential approach to learning will combine small, multiage classes with project-based methodology that fosters relationships between students and the community. The student-centered school will produce kids who are inspired by nature and oe learn by doing.” Currently, Schlack is looking for members from the community who are interested in helping to establish the local center.
