It was wonderful to see so many people working with the children. Our goal was to offer activities to our school age children right here in our beautiful valley. We wanted them to develop interests in things that are right in our own back yard. First, Wolf Creek was wonderfull You are always so accommodating and so good to us. Nancy Seraphin and Taylee Lundin, thank you so much for coordinating such an awesome program at Wolf Creek. Erin Dauby and Ryan, you were terrific teaching those kids how to golf. We were so lucky to learn from some of the best. And Erin, thanks for being such a great friend! Helene Liebman and John Klisch from Ogden Valley Pathways, you two were incredible! Helene and John organized a hiking program that was outstanding! We went on so many cool hikes. The kids learned so much and adored you two. Thanks to many the editors Jeannie Wendell Tel: 745-2879 Fax: 745-2879 E-Mail: crwendell@att.net crwendell@msn.com Opinions expressed by advertisers, columnists or letters to the editor are not necessarily the opinions of the owners and staff of The OGDEN VALLEY NEws. The incorporation effort was first and foremost an effort to exercise democracy at a local level. Even more fundamental, the effort was designed to answer the question “How much would incorporation cost?” The debate over incorporation was never substantially engaged as cost turned out to be high. Mr. Grondal’s depiction of developers as the driving force behind the question is completely without merit. The idea that the Ogden Valley Master Plan can prevent the Valley from being another suburban landscape surrounded by mountains is a myth, albeit a pleasant one. Weber County has already approved over 2000 new homes in the Eden area with more being requested each month. I encourage everyone, including the Standard’s editorial staff and Mr. Grondal, to attend the work- shops on the Recreation Element of the Ogden Valley General Plan. The first is scheduled for Wednesday, September 29 at 2380 Washington Blvd., Room 312 starting at 6:00 p.m. with a repeat the next day at 6:00 p.m. at Snowcrest Jr. High School. The workshops will give insight into the limitations of the General Plan and the complexity of managing growth using ordinances. “Life is a grindstone, whether it grinds you down or polishes you up depends on what you're made of.” —Longfellow LAST CHANCE FOR GIRLS BASKETBALL REGISTRATION. meni ienis Thank oe all so much. beginning sat aman mane adventures!
