Sorensen Schmidt, 88, died April 1 1 , 2002 in her home of natural causes. She was bom September 27, 1913 in Preston, Nevada to John and Elnora Thompson Tilby. She married Arthur Gilson, they were later divorced. She married Harold Sorensen; he preceded her in death. She married Hyrurn Schmidt; and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the LDS church, Ladies Elks 711, the Young at Heart Senior Citizens, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 34. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting and working in the yard. She painted several pictures that won ribbons at the count' fair. She is surv ived by 2 sons and 2 daughters: Donna Lemmon, Granstsvillc; Ronald (Jeannette) Gilson, Rupert, ID; Kay (Deanna) Sorensen, Eureka; Paulette (Myron) Carpenter, Eureka; 20 Ada S. Schmidt grandchildren; 35 greatg- and 1 1 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Lee Sorensen; and 3 brothers Marinus, Leo and Lynn Tilby. randchildren; Funeral services were Monday, April 15, 2002, at :00 a.m. at the Eureka LDS Ward.
