Volume EUREKA, UTAH -- March 2,2001 Ninety-Si- x Price $.40 Number 9 The 20002001 Tintic High School Girls Basketball Team which earned the right Jones and Emily Carter. Front row includes Kerri Black, Summer Grimstead, to play in the Utah State girls basketball tournament. Members of the team include Kayla Jones, Biylee Currie, and Merrianne Nedreberg.The team was eight wins back row, Dayna Currie, Sarah Williams, Sarah John, Megan Stansfield, Amber and four losses on the regular season, earning third place in their division. THSgirisgo to State Tintic High School Lady Miners had their best basketball season ccr. They were lead by the four seniors: Amber Jones. Dayna Currie. Summer Grimstead. and Sarah John. The team had a record of 8 wins and onK 4 losses, placing Tintic third overall in their region. The seniors didn't do all of this on their own. They had tremendous help from the other teammates. Returning players are Sarah Williams, Kerri Black, and Merrianne Ncdrcberg. The first vear freshman players who also did an outstanding job are Emilv Carter. Biylee Currie. Kavla Jones. Megan Stansfield. Crystal Zufclt. Stcphany Sherwood. Tia Sharp, and Jcnmca Grimstead. Through hard work, dedication, and perseverance, our team made history by becoming the first Tintic High School Girls team to go to the Slate Tournament. This has been an exciting experience for all involved. Although the girls didn't win thcv had a good time. They met mam new friends from the other teams, purchased and had everyone sign them. The school, staff, and rts, students along with many community members showed great support and helped make this a most rcmcmberable moment for the whole team!
