Principals from each school in the Tintic District gave the Board a Site Based Presentation. From the data collected from assessment of test scores, the school now has more effective svays to track student reading scores and progress. Barbara Quackcnbush. Principal of Eureka Elementary reviesved the student Core Assessment Reading Test scores ssith the Board. After comparing scores from over tsvo scars, the conclusion svas made that student reading skills arc nursing in an uphill direction. She stated that the Elementary staffs' goals arc to improve overall reading scores and have at least 75 or the students achieve 70 or Arthritis on the State Core Reading West Desert Principal Edgar Alder reported on the Curriculum Plan for Callao School. He stated that 5 out of 10 students who took the SATs in Language Arts and Study Skills scored at or above the 60th percentile. He stated that their goal is to work on bringing up scores. Mr. Alder stated that the goal for West Desert Elementary and West Desert High School was to improve reading skills and increase scores in both reading and math.
