Show scarcity of houses I 1 prevents camp growing the scarcity of residences is pre i venting this camp from growing as it should grow every day we hear 0 of people hunting for some place to live and in inmost most instances they hunt in vain as every house in the city is oc aupied many of the men employed here have families living elsewhere they cannot moe mone them here because it is impossible to rent a house such conditions are detrimental to the business interests of the camp more houses would mean an increase of perhaps a couple or three hundred in the population of the city it would mean an increase in business for the grocer the butcher and the diy daiy goods dealer it would mean more pupils in schools and would be beneficial in more ways than one it if fifty new houses were elected here next week eier everyone one of them would u be rented long before the carpenters had finish ed their work |
