Care and Share volunteer celebrates five years on job BY CLARISSA ADAMS For St. George Neighborhoods ST. GEORGE — Five years ago, on April 16, Dixie Care and Share officials conducted an open house to recruit volunteers. Four people came to that; one of those was Jimmie Sue Matlock. Matlock had recently been widowed, and didn’t have anything to do since oe had been retired for 11 years. She had worked for a telephone company in Las Vegas before that for 33 years. After retiring, she and her husband moved to Enterprise where they had aranch. After her husband passed away, her children encouraged her to move to St. George where she now lives. Kent and Melinda performed together in the past at Opryland in Nashville, Tenn., at the previous two Christmas productions and other events. Sixteen-year-old McKenzie Morgan has been with Diamond Talent for 11 years and hopes to continue dance in her future. She said that she has danced for four years with ballet being her favorite. “Dancing helps me to express myself” Grace said.
