Brian and Melinda Larson created and are co-owners of the Diamond Talent Dance and Performing Arts Studio in St.George. Brian said that many facets of Christmas will be represented by singers and dancers during the show with Santa's workshop, a 30-minute Nutcracker, a Nativity, Irish tap dancing, ‘contemporary dance and a gospel finale. He said: “We wanted to bring to our students an opportunity of a professional show -- an experience, rather than just a recital. They apply so they can do anything and be versatile performers.’ Melinda Larson said that she loves to see the improvement in students that comes through the joy in their faces as they perform. “What I enjoy the most is that every student has their moment; Melinda said. “We don't pick a lead out of the students, but we find a moment for all of them in the production. Im glad we can create a future, not just ashow: Both of the Larsons have an extensive background in professional variety shows from entertaining at theme parks, summer stock theaters and tours, Brian said. He does the technical side, Melinda does the choreography and works well with kids; and they direct together. Auditions for the variety show were held in August and practices began after Labor Day.
