Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to buy Thanksgiving dinner for community members who would be going without for Thanksgiving. On Monday, the school kicked off fundraiser with an the week-lon- g where assembly, they immediately collected $228. Also that day, during lunch students had the chance to pay $3 to participate in cake walk. Students donated money on Tuesday to watch teachers Hick Nielsen and Mike Wakefield shave their legs, and over $100 was raised. Wednesday, students paid money to throw pies at volunteer target, history teacher Jeff Hanke. Thursday was the day when enough money was raised to have each girl on the achooTsstudentcouii-d- l swallow or drew a live goldfish, much to the girls dismay. A student or teacher could pay $ 10, then choose which girl they wanted to swallow the fish. Some of the girls even swallowed two, and some had to chew the goldfish. Again on Friday, students gathered at lunchtime to donate money atu-den- m JTxari' i'? A" Wk '- '"f r" fund-rais- er to the cause. Six jars with names of a student or teacher were set out, and six activities were listed. The person with the least amount of money in their jar got to choose first which of the six activities they would do. Stefonie Jensen chose first to kiss a lived pig, brought in by another student. Next, principal Brent Fieldsted chose to have make-u- p put on him, and senior Austin Loranger volunteered to do thejob. Then Union High Student Body President Ben Henderson was dressed in feminine attire by several students and remained in the outfit all day.
