Army personnel officials announced the results of a review pertaining to wearing the unit crest on the Army green shirt and the black pullover sweater. According to officials, the unit crest is no longer authorized for wear on the shoulder of the Army green shirt or the black pullover sweater. Officials also say the crest showing regimental affiliation cant be worn over the name plate of the shirt or sweater. DUGWAY HIGH SCHOOL PHYSICS TEACHER GARY LEE gets some help from student Robert Argyle on a physics problem explained on the Gemini Electronic Blackboard. The blackboard and a conference phone link the classroom with Professor Sid Rudolph at the University of Utah over 100 miles away. What Professor Rudolph sees is reflected in the small TV monitor on the left. Competing the set up, speaker phones allow instruc2-w- tors and students to ay con- verse. The students can write on the board as the professor watches at the other end. From his classroom 10 miles away he can correct the problems and show the students their misconceptions and mistakes. One physics student, Todd Christiansen stated, "Its almost like having the professor with us in our classroom. The board can be helpful in more ways than. one. Adults who wish to take college courses but cannot afford the expense and time to travel distances would have the opportunity to take classes with college professors, right here on Dugway. If this proves to be an effective, low cost method of teaching, it can be expanded in the future .to help keep the standard of education at a high level for everyone at Dugway. Although you can buy tickets ip advance for the tickets will also be available at the door for both shows. The Children's Matinee tickets will be sold at the door just prior to the show. Classes in first aid, patrol techniques, rescue and rappelling, traffic control, domestic disturbances, police weapons, search and seizure, drug and alcohol abuse, and many others will be given the students who will meet three times a week for the graded course. Examinations and quizzes will monitor the progress of the students who must achieve a passing grade, and attend or make up each session.
