Show Local instructor releases first CD Tuesday November 25 1997 marked the cul mination ofover a year's work by new recording artist Kent Templeton Kent's first solo recording Kenosis the emptying will be released next week Kent's musical interests are diverse he plays the piano cello drums and guitar But it is his voice which premiers on his first recording Kent has a rich deep bass voice It is beautiful in itself but is amazing when contrasted with his quiet manner Kent is an instructor at the College of Eastern Utah and until last year many of his colleagues didn't even know that he sings As a musician Kent has many outlets He toured the US Canada and Europe with Christian singing group The Internationals as their drummer soft-spok- en He also played in several bands in the Phoenix area Over the past year Kent Templeton and fellow musician Martha DeFrcest have begun to develop a con- cert following in Utah's folk music scene They performed at the Salt Lake City Arts Festival in June of this year at the Helper's Art Festival at Price City's Culture Connection conceits and are frequent performers at the Dilly & Wolfy's Coffee House in Helper In addition to folk music Kent is also interested in classical music and opera Kent has sung for his own enjoyment for many years but has studied voice seriously for only two years I Ic began his vocal training with Russell Wilson at CEU and is currently studying with Betty Jean Chipman one of Utah's foremost voice instructors Bedroom Farce opens at the Geary by Jamie Jensen staff writer Four couples jumping from bedroom scene to bedroom scene best describes the newest dramatic masterpiece performed at the Geary Theater is a British comedy called “Bedroom Farce'' written by Alan Ayckbourn Performances begin Dec 4 and end Dec 6 The play includes four couples: Trevor and Susannah played by Ted Cartwright and Misty Pypcr Malcom and Kate played by Michcal Leonard and Carrie Breschcr Nick and Jan played by Nick Nielson and Anna Dc Lccuw and Ernest and Delia played by Ben Branson and Julie Adams (— Video 1 Vtro's Lost World 2 Men In Black off the J exception of sale items and acces- -
